Social Media Time Saving Tips

I think most of us get to the end of the day and think, “where did the day go, I feel like I got nothing done.” And the fact is, most of the time it’s true.


So, if we don’t even have time to sort out our life, and get through our 9-5, how can we help our business kick-butt on the numerous social media platforms we have?

These awesome social media time-saving tips will help your platforms kick-butt while you focus on the daily grind.


I reckon 1 in 5 people (* this is a stat I made up LOL), go the shops without a shopping list and think, “I’ll remember exactly what I need”, but in fact, come home forgetting almost everything. Am I right!? YES!


Well without any real plan (or shopping list) how do we know what we need to get, or do?

This brings me to my first time-saving tip:


Make sure you have a strategy/ plan in place:


The biggest waste of time in social media happens when you operate without any real plan or focus. To help you save time, focus on 2 or 3 achievable aims and objectives. This might include increasing your email list. This can be achieved in many ways, like adding a pop-up subscriber form on your website, a link in your Instagram bio, or even a “call to action” button on your Facebook Page’s cover image which will encourage people over to your email signup page.



Limit your social media platforms:


Master a couple of platforms (my tip: Facebook & Instagram), rather than overwhelming yourself with many. Focus on the platforms your customers spend the most time on or that fit your business. By focusing on just two or three, you use your time efficiently and you’ll have a bigger impact on the platforms because you can learn more about how to use them. Check out your analytics:


You can get analytics on Facebook & Twitter – and if you have an Instagram business page, you can now get analytics on there too. Regularly checking your analytics will show you what content your followers are enjoying and at what time they are online. But just pick a few metrics that directly impact your business. For example, a track which types of posts get the most click-through to your web page. When deciding which metrics to track, ask yourself: how does this

benefit my business?




This right here my friend, is time-saving GOALED! 
Once you’ve got your strategy and plan in place you won’t need to stop to think about what you’re going to post and when. One of the kick-butt things about social media is that you can schedule posts days or weeks in advance. You can literally bang out several days’ worth of tweets or Facebook posts. You can schedule directly via Facebook but my favourite program to use is Hootsuite, a popular application that makes it easy to schedule tweets, Facebook updates and other updates in advance – this also gives you the option to get analytics and other great features. Instagram is yet to have such a function but Latergram is a great tool to use to get all your Instagram posts ready for posting.
