Hands in the air if you want to spend all your free time posting on social media at all your high traffic posting times?
Um…. NOT ME!
My business motto is “work smarter, not harder”, so, who’s with me!?
As you know, one of my 4 C’s is ‘consistency’.
If you know me, which most of you do, I always bang on & on about being consistent (I don’t just repeat it because I love the sound of my mouth, even though my partner may say different LOL), I say it, because to be successful on social media, we need to be at the forefront of our potential customers – and current customers, mind.
So, how do we save time (so we can spend time IN our business, or better yet, with family, friends?), SCHEDULING!
We all know this is the key to saving time & kicking butt, but we often don’t make time for it. And as a result, one of two things happen, and they are:
1). Chase our tail all week trying to come up with content, then create it then post it
2). Think number 1 is too hard & chuck is straight in the ‘TOO HARD BASKET’
And, we all know what happens if you do number 2… you aren’t being consistent.
Now, from friend-to-friend, I’ll be honest, I am one of those people (number 2), but this year, I am on the journey with you, which is to get our butts into gear & schedule up a storm. That way, we can spend our time doing better things – like reading, drinking wine or learning to surf (which I am also currently attempting to do).
Ok, so here are my top scheduling programs (I have used both of these)
1) Skedsocial (formerly Schedugram)
This one does cost about $20 a month but it has some great features. I love it because not only can you schedule your Instagram (and now Facebook & Pinterest), posts but you can schedule Instagram Stories too.
I honestly think this program is worth every penny. You can put all your hashtags in one place & mix-up your hashtag strategy each time, then you can add it to your first comment section as you would on the actual Instagram platform. You can also tag people, add location & tag your product.
It does, however, take a little time to type in all our hashtags & people you want to tag in etc but once you’ve got it sorted, you’re well on our way to posting success.
This one is free, depending on how many accounts you have. I only had one at the time, so it was free for me. Hootsuite doesn’t give you as much goodness as Skedsocial but it’s free & does the job.
Here are a few others:
• Sprout Social
• Social Pilot
Please note, I have not used the ones above but they might suit you.
So, long story short let's save time so we can spend it doing the things we really LOVE (like drinking sangria on Sunday’s), and kick some butt!
